UGANDA VOLUNTEERS FOR PEACE (UVP) is Registered as (NGO) in Uganda, and operates as a National Committee for ICYE Federation in Uganda.

Background:
Uganda Volunteers for Peace (UVP) is an associate member of ICYE Federation established in 1999. It is a non-political, non-sectarian voluntary membership organization which encourages self help schemes, with the main aim of assisting needy people and support the local communities in Uganda.

UVP broadened its focus Internationally when it became a member of the ICYE Federation in 2001 and have managed bringing together the youth regardless of their different backgrounds to help and develop local communities through voluntary services in areas of community sensitization and intercultural learning between nations.

UVP has profound interest in the peaceful co-existence amon nations hence the Intercultural Youth Exchange programme is one mode of achieving this principle.
