Period of serving abroad as volunteer is from 3 - 12 months after acceptance, then a Volunteer signs a Contract and fills the ICYE Application form for the Programme. With accommodation, Insurance, Medical and local transport is guaranteed/provided by ICYE Federation and Hosting National Communities. UGANDA VOLUNTEERS FOR PEACE (UVP) is Registered as (NGO) in Uganda, and operates as a National Committee for ICYE Federation in Uganda.
